By replacing a window with a slider, and building a small landing with stairs down to the backyard, the room immediately seems larger & more open. A new headboard filled with cubbies and shelves for storage utilizes the wall behind the bed, while a new bed with built-in drawers provides storage in otherwise dead space. A repurposed desk set into the closet provides a work space, while the ceiling is painted with a romantic scroll pattern, beautiful pendants are hung in lieu of table lamps, and wall decals, overlays and bedding provide color & texture for a cozy, romantic master bedroom.
