1952 Rose Bowl Game: Stanford Indians (9-1) vs. Illinois Fighting Illini (8-0-1)

The 1952 Rose Bowl Game was the 1st ever televised Bowl game and it was the 38th Rose Bowl game played. The very 1st Rose Bowl game was played on 1 January 1902 which was the first ever Bowl game. It was not played again from 1903 through 1915 returning on 1 January 1916 as the 2nd Rose bowl Game. This 1st ever televised Bowl game aired live from the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasedena, California. The teams involved in this game were the Stanford Indians (9-1) and the Illinois Fighting Illini (8-0-1).
