Episode 1

Sandi Toksvig and her wife Debbie acquire a 40-acre ancient woodland in southern England dating from 1600, home to trees, streams, meadows and wildlife, but overgrown and diseased. In the first episode, it's winter and faced with a dark, overgrown jungle, Sandi begins to make a plan to create space and light in the wood and increase biodiversity. With locals' help, they revive the site by felling trees, building wildlife ponds and releasing orphaned owls while shedding light on Britain's woodland crisis.

Episode 2

After a cold winter, Sandi's wood 'springs to life' as she and wife Debbie start to focus on creating suitable habitats for woodland creatures. They build a wildlife pond to increase the biodiversity and tree surgeons make a 200-year-old beech tree safe. Sandi's budget is stretched because of local fly-tipping, as she has to fork out thousands of pounds on fencing.

Episode 3

As summer arrives, Sandi Toksvig and her wife Debbie fell trees, build wildlife ponds, release orphaned owls into the wild and welcome new life and the sunshine back into the once overgrown forest. They also battle fly-tipping and illegal off-roading through their woods. Sandi visits a newly planted woodland, ropes in some bat specialists and brings a beaver group from a local school to learn about nature, before she and Debbie reflect on the journey they've been on as they appreciate the beauty of the landscape around them.

Dept. Q

DCI Carl Morck is a brilliant cop but a terrible colleague. His razor-sharp sarcasm has made him no friends in Edinburgh police. After a shooting that leaves a young PC dead, and his partner paralysed, he finds himself exiled to the basement and the sole member of Department Q; a newly formed cold case unit. The department is a PR stunt, there to distract the public from the failures of an under-resourced, failing police force that is glad to see the back of him. But more by accident than design, Carl starts to build a gang of waifs and strays who have everything to prove. So, when the stone-cold trail of a prominent civil servant who disappeared several years ago starts to heat up, Carl is back doing what he does best - rattling cages and refusing to take no for an answer.
