Sarah Beeny's New Life in the Country - Season 3

Season 3

Episodes

Episode 1
Sarah and the family begin a new series by creating a traditional country house library, inspired by an 18th-century stately home she previously worked on. It will be covered from wall-to-wall in bespoke bookcases, with sustainable timber coloured to give it a rich, aged, antique appearance, and with another reading area to house more books - a cosy book nook on the landing. Graham installs the library's best kept secret - a hidden drinks cabinet.

Episode 2
Sarah and Graham turn their attention to the guest bedroom, with plans afoot to create a secret, Narnia-inspired room in the eaves, accessed through the bedroom wardrobe. The couple head to the local auction house in Wincanton, in search of the perfect pair of matching bedside tables. Sarah also wants to build a peaceful retreat in a corner of her garden. For inspiration, she takes Laurie to Taunton to see the Willow Cathedral, a unique living structure, to recreate back at home.

Episode 3
Sarah and Graham turn their attention to the family room and how best to use the empty space downstairs. They draw inspiration from the Chinese bedroom at Longleat House and the plant-based textiles and natural dyes on display at London Fashion Week. Sarah realises that she can't carry on working in random parts of the house, so comes up with a plan to seamlessly weave her workspace into the living area.

Episode 4
Sarah and Graham start work on their grand plans for the outside of their home - to create a mini clock tower, complete with a bell, on the roof of the exterior building. But once it's up, they find out that it doesn't fit onto the timber housing. Sarah and Laurie also make a unique family flag and Graham personalises the weathervane.

Episode 5
Sarah and Graham discover a whole load of odd antiques and family heirlooms that have been passed down through generations. Sarah decides that the best way to use this stuff in their new home is to transform their downstairs cloakroom into a Victorian cupboard of curiosities. Graham is reunited with some old taxidermy friends that they've inherited over the years, while Sarah and Laurie create some wooden coat hooks.

Episode 6
Graham and Sarah turn their attention to the garden, as they set out to turn Graham's picture of what he hopes the view from their kitchen may eventually look like into a reality. They go on the hunt for trees and shrubs that would improve the backdrop to their lake, restore an old bridge over a stream near their pond, and finish off the wall around the new terrace area.

Episode 7
Sarah and Graham measure up an area of lawn for a greenhouse which will provide not just a place to grow plants, but also a quiet spot for Sarah to retreat to. Sarah and Graham take Raffey and Laurie to the International Worm Charming Festival in Blackawton, Devon, while the family band prepare to go on tour, which will conclude with a gig at the CarFest music festival in Laverstoke Park, Hampshire.

Episode 8
Compilation of highlights from the series in which Sarah and her family tackle the ambitious new-build project of creating a classic country house from scratch.

From socialites to secretaries, female killers share one thing in common: at some point, they all snapped. Each episode of Snapped chronicles the life of a woman who has been charged with murder.
