Ryan Gosling / Jay Z
Returning for the second time as host, the twice Oscar-nominated Gosling is set to star in the sci-fi drama "Blade Runner 2049," which opens Oct. 6.
Accompanying Gosling on the season premiere will be Grammy Award-winning icon Jay-Z, who will be making his fourth appearance as musical guest. Jay-Z's album "4:44" was released in June, and he will embark on a world tour beginning Oct. 27.

Gal Gadot / Sam Smith
Gadot, who will be making her first "SNL" appearance, starred in summer's #1 film, "Wonder Woman," which earned more than $400 million at the domestic box office. Gadot will next co-star in the highly anticipated "Justice League," arriving in theaters Nov. 17.
Joining Gadot will be Grammy-, Oscar- and Golden Globe-winning artist Sam Smith, marking his second visit to "SNL" as musical guest. Smith dropped a new single, "Too Good at Goodbyes," on Sept. 8 in preparation for his upcoming second studio album release.

Kumail Nanjiani / P!nk
Kumail Nanjiani will host the season's third show on Oct. 14, marking his debut. Nanjiani stars as Dinesh Chugtai in HBO's "Silicon Valley" and most recently wrote and starred in the critically-acclaimed film "The Big Sick."
Grammy Award-winning artist P!nk will join Nanjiani for the season's third episode as musical guest. Her seventh studio album, "Beautiful Trauma," is due out Oct. 13. P!nk was recently honored at the MTV VMAs with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award in August.

Chance the Rapper hosts; Eminem performs.

Saoirse Ronan / U2
Saoirse Ronan will make her hosting debut. Ronan can be seen in Greta Gerwig's film "Lady Bird," which is currently in theatres nationwide.
Twenty two-time Grammy Award winners U2 will join Ronan as musical guest, marking the band's fourth SNL performance and first network TV appearance in support of the legendary band's 14th album, "Songs of Experience," out Dec. 1. U2's North American tour, "eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE" kicks off in May.

James Franco / SZA
James Franco will return for a fourth time as host. Franco, who currently appears in the HBO drama "The Deuce," produced, directed and stars in the upcoming film "The Disaster Artist," which opens Dec. 1 in limited release and Dec. 8 nationwide.
Accompanying Franco as musical guest will be SZA. Her critically acclaimed album, "Ctrl," debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified gold by the RIAA.

Kevin Hart / Foo Fighters
Comedian Kevin Hart returns to host his third "SNL" episode. His upcoming film, "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle," will open Dec. 20 and also stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Karen Gillan and Nick Jonas. Hart is also currently headlining his comedy tour, "The Irresponsible Tour."
Foo Fighters will return for a seventh time as musical guest, tying the record for most "SNL" appearances by a rock band. Debuting at #1 in the U.S. and more than a dozen other countries, the band's latest album, "Concrete and Gold," was released Sept. 15. The Foo's current world tour continues to sell out stadiums and arenas through 2018.

Sam Rockwell / Halsey
Golden Globe winner Sam Rockwell will make his hosting debut when "Saturday Night Live" returns for the new year. His latest film, the Globe-winning "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri," opened Nov. 10 and also stars Globe winner Frances McDormand and Woody Harrelson.
Halsey will join Rockwell, who is also marking her debut as musical guest. Halsey's latest album, "hopeless fountain kingdom," was released in June and peaked at #1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.

Jessica Chastain / Troye Sivan
Jessica Chastain will take the "SNL" stage as host for her first time. Chastain can currently be seen in Aaron Sorkin's drama "Molly's Game," opposite Idris Elba and Kevin Costner.
Alongside Chastain, Troye Sivan will appear as musical guest for the first time. "My My My!" – the lead single from Sivan's new album – "Blue Neighborhood," his 2015 multi-platinum debut album, topped the iTunes charts in 66 countries.

Will Ferrell / Chris Stapleton
"SNL" vet Will Ferrell, who was a cast member from 1995-2002, will return to Studio 8H as a four-time host. His latest comedy, "Daddy's Home 2," was released in November.
Chris Stapleton will join Ferrell as musical guest for the second time. His most recent album, "From A Room: Volume 2," was released on Dec. 1. It follows "From A Room: Volume 1," which won the 2017 CMA for Album of the Year and is nominated for Best Country Album at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards.

Natalie Portman / Dua Lipa
Academy Award winner Natalie Portman returns for the second time as host of "Saturday Night Live" on Feb. 3. Portman stars in the upcoming sci-fi thriller "Annihilation," set for release Feb. 23.
Pop artist Dua Lipa will join Portman as musical guest for the first time. The critically acclaimed artist's self-titled debut album continues to top the charts since its release in 2017. Her global smash single "New Rules" has gone double platinum in the U.S. where it is currently top 5 on the Top 40 chart.
