Mercedes lleva una alimentación variada y equilibrada en la que intenta consumir productos ecológicos de proximidad y evitar el consumo excesivo de carne y azúcares refinados. Tras el confinamiento, tiene un huerto y con sus frutos prepara sus propias mermeladas y salsas. Lo hace porque se siente mejor, apuesta por lo casero y porque está convencida de que una dieta libre de productos ultraprocesados es fuente de salud.
Los expertos coinciden en que el actual modelo de alimentación es insostenible. Se predice un incremento de tres billones de habitantes para el año 2050, con un aumento de entre un 60% y 70% en la demanda de comida y Mercedes se pregunta... ¿qué alternativas existen? ¿cómo podremos producir toda la comida que vamos a necesitar sin destruir el equilibrio del planeta?
Mercedes reflexionará sobre lo que comemos, si es sostenible la producción de alimentos a nivel mundial y buscará soluciones y respuestas a cómo será la alimentación del futuro
