Season 2
Back for a brand new second series, Secrets of the Transport Museum returns to Brooklands Museum in Surrey to reveal how its volunteers, members, staff and outside enthusiasts mend, maintain and restore the most extraordinary historic motors and airplanes in the world. The new series is once again narrated by Sanjeev Bhaskar, who appears in the final episode to re-live one of the most amazing travel experiences he's ever had - on Concorde.
Motorbikes, buses, trikes, and supersonic jets are all tuned up and restored using engineering expertise that has been all but forgotten, except in this unique mecca for classic motors. Brooklands Museum has been witness to the most important pieces motorsport and aviation history in the world. But it's a constant battle to keep the engines humming. Every day, a team of volunteer mechanics and restorers are on hand to save these precious vehicles from the ravages of time.
Episodes

Episode 1
An amazing pre-war race car, the Halford Special (pictured), is lined up to compete against a stunning Bugatti in a re-run of the first ever British Grand prix on the finishing straight at Brooklands, but a tune up before the race reveals problems with this turbo charged beast. The legendary Empire Star motorbike, the genesis of the BSA Gold star motorcycles, gets a thorough overhaul and the museum dust busting team clean out a flight shed that houses the Avro, Brookland's earliest plane.

Episode 2
A young racing driver learns how to handle the Napier-Railton. Plus, a race winning Harrier jet, and pilot, are reunited.

Episode 3
The motorbike team create a new lubrication system to keep a 1930s BSA motorbike running. Plus, a Mini Metro and red Corvette turn heads at the Members Classic Car Show.

Episode 4
Brooklands is known for its incredible links to aviation, including a glider ‘The Ladybird, that has sat unassembled and untested for decades.
Aviator and lover of early planes Julian Aubert prepares to restore this beautiful, slightly scary airplane and take it to the skies once more.

Episode 5
Two of the museum's most famous, and fastest vehicles – the Napier Railton race car and the Brough Superior motorcycle – go head-to-head. Also, an old airfield fire engine needs TLC to be ready for the museum's Emergency Services event. And two motorbike volunteers visit the home of motoring legend John Surtees.

Episode 6
A McLaren Senna GTR makes a dramatic entrance at the museum. A father and son team battle to get their vintage buses ready for the Brooklands bus show. A man with a vision tries to bring his great grandfather's motorcycle dreams back from the dead at the Brooklands track.

Episode 7
Volunteer Mark visits bike building maestro Allen Millyard to choose two models for Brooklands Motorcycle day. Two museum members fulfil their friend John's automobile dreams, and a WW1 Sopwith Camel biplane goes through its MOT.

Episode 8
Bus-obsessed radio DJ Ed Adoo gets the ultimate driving lesson in a double decker. Plus, a rare cutting-edge bike from the past is saved by modern engineering.

Episode 9
A Mini makeover reduces its owners to tears. A replica, 1925 cycle car, that's taken six years to build, comes a cropper at Brooklands.

Episode 10
Actor and writer (and show narrator) Sanjeev Bhaskar visits Brooklands to re- live one of the most amazing travel experiences he's ever had. 30 years ago Sanjeev won a competition to fly on this supersonic wonder that is Concorde. Ex-Concorde air stewardesses Carol Cornwall and Jeanette Hartley welcome him back on board to treat him to some of this majestic plane's best treats and most interesting insights from their days on board.
