Episode 5

In this episode, the much-missed band Deaf Shepherd, who cut a swathe through traditional music in the 90s. Newly reformed, the group makes an eagerly anticipated appearance on Seirm with an extended cast list made of the many musicians who passed through the Deaf Shepherd ranks. The band proves that their years apart haven't removed their lustre or musical heft, and this performance comes with sparkling displays of musicality.
Malky's Reels, Maggie Cameron's and Spice of Life are just three musical treasures from a wide collective repertoire built on combining traditional songs with newer works. On this showing, Deaf Shepherd remain a musical tour de force, adept at combining traditions from all corners of Scotland.

The Big Fat Quiz
The Big Fat Quiz is an annual British television programme broadcast on the last Sunday of the year on Channel 4. Essentially, the show is a comedy panel show in the style of a pub quiz. Three teams, of two celebrities each, are asked questions relating to the events of the year just gone by, which they write answers to on an electronic board in front of them. At the end of each round, they then display their answers, scoring a point for each correct one. The first edition was broadcast in December 2004. There has been another at the end of each year since, as well as a special edition in November 2007 for Channel 4's 25th anniversary celebrations.
