Queen for Seven Days
Chae Gyung lives far away from her parents, hidden away from all the commotion going on in the palace. However, she secretly goes to Hanyang and runs into Yeok, the younger brother of Yung, the King. Yung is supposed to give the throne to Yeok when he comes of age, but he doesn't want to as the throne is the only thing that is his.

The Twist of Fate
Yeok and Chae Gyung's relationship becomes even more complicated. While traveling to meet her parents, she loses the important letter, and thinks that Yeok stole it. Furthermore, the relationship between Yeok and Yung becomes more strained as Yung finds out about a secret letter his father had left behind.

The Scribe
Seo Noh's father is arrested for what Seo Noh did. Troubled by this, Yeok and Chae Gyung help him run away. Meanwhile, Su Geun receives a letter from the priest that says the Royal Family and Chae Gyung must not get involved or else face violent turmoil.

The Promise
Yeok receives a severe punishment for breaking Mak Gae out of prison. Chae Gyung goes to Yung to ask for forgiveness, but instead ends up getting blamed for the crime. Chae Gyung and Yeok face the King and the ministers and find out the punishment to their mistake.

A Ghost
Chae Gyung runs into Yung and together they do a memorial service for both Yeok and his mother. Chae Gyung runs into Yeok who was incidentally in the next room. She thinks he is a ghost who looks exactly like Yeok.

Why Did You Lie
Chae Gyung dresses up as a man to seduce a mysterious man. She believes that the man is Yeok. She and Nak Cheon spend the day together, and Nak Cheon convinces her that he is not Yeok. Yung begins to have nightmares and fears that Yeok will come back.

Do Not Come Here
Chae Gyung is imprisoned for helping the thief get away. Because she was so desperate to hide his identity, Yung suspects that the thief is Yeok. Meanwhile, Myong Hye sneaks into the cell to kill Chae Gyung.

Royal Pardon
Chae Gyung is at risk of losing her life. Yeok begins to think of a way to help Chae Gyung and decides that his brother is the only one who can help. Yeok comes up with a plan to get Yung to help Chae Gyung. Meanwhile, Su Geun offers his life in the place of his daughter's, and the ministers do all they can to keep Chae Gyung in prison.

I Want Chae Gyung
Yung asks Yeok what he wishes to have, and he answers that he wants Chae Gyung. Meanwhile, Chae Gyung hears about the prophecy and tries to be apart from Yeok. However, Yeok is determined to marry her.

Marriage
Yung gives a royal command for Yeok and Chae Gyung to get married. Im Sa Hong finds out where Yeok and his friends have been using as their headquarters and goes there. Chae Gyung gains the courage to marry Yeok despite the prophecy, and Yung realized his feelings towards Chae Gyung is love.

A Spy
Yung orders Chae Gyung to become a spy. Yeok works harder to protect Chae Gyung. Meanwhile, Yung's jealousy and surveillance worsen as they count the days until Chae Gyung and Yeok's wedding day.

Wedding
Yeok and Chae Gyung finally get married. However, Yung and the people around Yung become more cautious of the two of them. While Chae Gyung tries her best to trust in Yeok, a seed of doubt begins to form when she finds out that Yeok lied about getting hurt. She decides to pay the pawn shop a visit to see if she can find anything out. Meanwhile, there is a death amongst the people around Yeok.

The Betrayal
Chae Gyung feels betrayed and confused by Yeok after seeing traces of treason at his hideout. Moreover, she decides to protect Yeok from Yung after witnessing Yung's tyranny. It's the beginning of their tragedy.

Tattoo
Chae Gyung accepts Myong Hye as her handmaiden. The Queen Dowager suspects that Chae Gyung is the woman with the secret letter and sets the date for their consummation. Meanwhile, Chae Gyung's suspicion towards Yeok continues growing. This only torments her, and she decides that it is time to come clean to him and tell him what she knows and believes.

Putting Everything Down
Yeok puts everything down and spends his time with Chae Gyung. Meanwhile, Yung is having nightmares and lets his anger out on people around Chae Gyung. Yeok announces that he'll give up on his rebellion.

The Leader of The Snail Wives
Yeok helps Shin Su Geun and decides to leave the capital with Chae Gyung. Meanwhile, Yung gives Su Geun a royal command to catch the snail wives. In the search for the snail wives, anyone who has received rice from them gets captured, tortured and put to death. Seo Noh sees innocent citizens dying due to Yung's tyranny and gets angry.

The Trap
Yeok and Chae Gyung are locked up for treason. Su Geun is also ordered to stay inside and never come out. Meanwhile, Chae Gyung gets into a dangerous deal with Yung in order to save Yeok.

Strike True
Yeok and Chae Gyung get to see each other for a brief moment, Yeok prepares to restore the nation. Chae Gyung couldn't decide on what to do while she was on Yung's side, but she finally makes up her mind to help Yeok. Meanwhile, Yung's obsession with Chae Gyung becomes greater.

The Price
Yeok takes the throne, but there's a price he must pay. People surrounding him are discussing dethroning Chae Gyung from her position. Meanwhile, Yung receives a message on his way into exile that Su Geun was killed.

I Love You, I Love You, I Love You
Yeok saves Chae Gyung from being hanged. Myong Hye hands over the men who helped in the escape of Yung, and Yeok's men capture them. The ministers tell Yeok to dispose of Chae Gyung, but he refuses. Meanwhile, Chae Gyung asks Yeok for a divorce so that people will stop dying.
