Toyotaka Yoshida (Alan Shirahama), a novelist who made a hit with his debut work 'Blank Method', but then didn't make a living with a family restaurant's part-time job. Shuntaro is told by the editor-in-chief, Sakakida (Zen Kajihara), to attend a meeting with the great writer Mitsunori Uchiyama (Tokuma Nishioka) on the first day of his assignment. When asked by Uchiyama what kind of book he wants to make, Shuntaro replies, 'I want to work with a writer named Toyotaka Yoshida.'
