Stig (35) og Anne Grete (28) overtok huset i Ålesund etter hennes besteforeldre i 2007. De rev hele første etasje, men hadde ingen plan for hvordan de skulle bygge den opp igjen. Anne Grete elsker planlegging og detaljer, så mange planer har havnet på papiret, men de starter verken bygging eller oppussing. Anne Gretes slekt har også mange meninger om hvordan de to bør innrede hjemmet sitt, og det har blitt til at Stig har meldt seg helt ut. Derfor er det ingenting som skjer i første etasje, og hele familien på fire bor trangt og kummerlig på husets loft.
