Episode 3

As she celebrates her 50th year as a nun, Sister Rita battles to resolve the sort of issues seen in hundreds of neighbourhoods across the country, cutting through the red tape to sort things in her own unique way. In this episode she tries to help even more people in her area by tackling loneliness, but her attempts to start a friendship club for residents don't get off to the best start. Never one to give up, the nun hatches a plan to bring the locals together, and as she's reminded of the importance of community, she retraces her own roots, revisiting the family and places she grew up with. Meanwhile, as the team finds solutions for people needing advice and support, there's help for one of the food bank regulars when the true extent of his problems is revealed.

King and Conqueror is the story of a clash that defined the future of a country – and a continent – for a thousand years, the roots of which stretch back decades and extend out through a pair of interconnected family dynasties, struggling for power across two countries and a raging sea. Harold of Wessex and William of Normandy were two men destined to meet at the Battle of Hastings in 1066; two allies with no design on the British throne, who found themselves forced by circumstance and personal obsession into a war for possession of its crown.
