After the founding of the People's Republic of China, He Changsheng, driven by the desire to support socialist construction, relocated from Jiangdu, Yangzhou to Huainan, Anhui with his entire family. They put down roots along the banks of the Huai River. Over the next two decades, He Changsheng was blessed with six daughters. Regrettably, he lost his life in a car accident. The eldest sister, He Jiali, along with her grandmother, Mrs. He, and mother, Liu Meixin, stepped forward to shoulder the heavy responsibilities of the family. They worked hard to help the younger sisters get married and build their own lives and careers. As the era evolved, the six He sisters also went through various twists and turns in their love lives, marriages, careers, and daily lives. Nevertheless, they stand united, bravely confronting the trials and tribulations of life. Through the grind of life, the six sisters finally come to comprehend the profound significance of "family" that their father have constantly emphasized during his lifetime.
