Tonight. Tom gets his girlfriend's jewellery out of hock, while busker Bob is forced to pawn the tools of his trade to pay the rent.

Episode 2
Tom and Tara are in court on a charge of assault against the police, Vernon is hoping a bit of wheeler-dealing will make his Big Issue earnings go a bit further, and busker Bob decides to enter the big time and turn pub entertainer.

Episode 3
Bob's all set for his first pub gig, Martin attempts to kick heroin and buy his son a birthday present for the first time, while Vernon tries his hand at market trading at a car boot sale.

Episode 4
Discarded cigarette butts are a small comfort for broke Bob following his disastrous pub gig. Plus, can DJ Darren raise enough cash to buy back his pawned equipment?

Episode 5
Tom and Tara find their finances perilously low as they prepare for their fifth child. Money worries are also getting to Vernon.

Episode 6
Carmel falls out with partner Martin when she discovers that he has lapsed back into drug-taking.
Bob tries to find the money to buy a new keyboard, while Tony and Debbie find their debts spiralling further out of control.

Episode 7
Newlywed Stephen pawns wedding rings when money becomes tight. A Birmingham Del Boy, Akee, tries his luck at the buy-back shop. And Shenay, 19, becomes a lap dancer.

Episode 8
As the colourful series following assorted hard-up characters comes to an end, Tom and Tara's joy at the arrival of their new baby is tinged with sadness, while Vernon Burgess is back home and full of optimism.
