Next, Tanya meets a couple who've created the ultimate country entertainment home, with smart tech inside and out. The main event: speakers hidden everywhere, including in the walls and ceiling. Hidden Gem; Niagara Falls Church
Tanya explores a true "hidden gem" because everything you'd normally see in a house is either completely out of sight or floating...including the staircase! Next, Tanya heads to her hometown of Niagara Falls to meet a man who converted an old church into the exquisitely designed modern smart home of his dreams. With a tattoo parlor, interior balcony, sliding doors to the backyard and a corporate-style boardroom, this home is truly one-of-a-kind.

High-Tech in the Clouds; Robot Pool
Tanya visits a smart home in the clouds, a massive penthouse condo that was a logistical nightmare to build on one of Toronto's busiest intersections. Every piece of smart tech was brought in by crane, closing the street below to traffic. Next, a brand-new luxury home hits the market with style to burn. The smart features shine most on the outside, with a fully automated pool that is cleaned and temperature monitored by an AI run by a smartphone app. And this garage has stacked parking with room to put two SUVs on top of each other in one high-tech lift.

Zero-One; Floating Door
California's first carbon-zero home is a wonder inside and out. From ethically sourced wood interiors to recycled concrete, from an induction kitchen to an electrically heated pool, this home was built to emit no carbon. Next, Tanya discovers a home with a prototype for a massive "floating door" that rides on earth magnets so that it opens and closes with momentum.

Modernist Makeover; Lemons Into Lemonade
Tanya finds the master bedroom design of her dreams in this modernist smart home nestled in a forest near the center of Toronto. Tanya discovers how lighting, security, and entertainment can be entirely integrated into an existing design. Next, Tanya tours a gorgeous mansion that has been a true sanctuary for the family who moved in just as the world was shutting down because of the pandemic.

The Ministry of Time
The Ministry of Time, a newly established government department, is gathering ‘expats' from across history in an experiment to test the viability of time-travel. Commander Graham Gore (an officer on Sir John Franklin's doomed 1845 Arctic expedition) is one such figure rescued from certain death – alongside an army captain from the fields of the Somme, a plague victim from the 1600s, a widow from revolutionary France, and a soldier from the seventeenth century.
The expats are placed with 21st century liaisons, known as 'bridges', in unlikely flatshares. Gore has to learn about contemporary life from scratch: from air travel to industrial warfare, from feminism to Spotify, from cinema to indoor plumbing; and he must negotiate cohabiting with the ambitious modern woman who works as his bridge. After an awkward beginning, the pair start to find pleasure and comfort in each other's company, developing a relationship that is simultaneously tender, intense and profoundly unprofessional; and the expats, adrift in a new era, form friendships that ground and support them in the lonely 21st century, where they have outlived everyone they ever knew and loved.
When a deeper conspiracy at the Ministry begins to reveal itself, the bridge must reckon with what she does next. Will she save or sacrifice the exiled misfits she has come to care for so deeply?
