This series offers unprecedented access to the Royal Welsh, one of Britain's most decorated armoured infantry units, as they live together and train in their Warrior armoured vehicles, ready to be called up at a moment's notice to join a war in eastern Europe and beyond. When the going gets tough, these Welsh Warriors are the guys you call.

For six months, our cameras follow the 1st Battalion Royal Welsh as they live, work and train, preparing for a war that looks likelier every day. We follow every trial, every tradition, and every triumph, and witness the pride and the honour of serving in this incredible Welsh regiment.

Company Sergeant Major Fil Franco gives his junior fusiliers from Charlie company their first taste of fighting alongside a Warrior armoured vehicle. Some of the soldiers get hands on with potential enemy weapon systems in a bid to give them more knowledge on the battlefield. There are also St David's Day celebrations, including a parade and early morning cups of tea with rum in them.
