South Seas Spearo - Season 5

'Tis the season, and the spearo's are under instructions from their families to provide for a Christmas day seafood feast, with a multiday mission to beautiful Great Barrier Island.

It's a bit of a ‘piscine contest' this week, as the team set their sights on nailing some monster kingfish at Whakaari/White Island, before relocating up the coast.

The action hots up this week, as the team continue their Bay of Plenty adventures, experiencing all that stunning Tuhua/Mayor Island has to offer. If you like sharks - we've got you covered!

Never one to shy away from a challenge, the team put their lives on the line this week, in a quest to conquer the holy grail of spearfishing, the mighty swordfish.

We're laying on a veritable buffet of spearfishing action for you this week, with the 2nd day of diving Kahurangi shoal. We then take part in Lake Taupo's annual catfish cull.

After an action packed start, both South Sea Spearo teams are right in the mix to claim the title at the annual Anglers Escape charity fishing competition, but who will finish stronger?

The team set sail on a weeklong mission to Fantastic Fiji, with a loose plan to head wherever the wind blows. However, there's a few major obstacles they're forced to overcome in their quest.

After bidding farewell to Fiji, the team swap the heat of the tropics for the icy waters of the deep South, embarking on a midwinter Mission along the southern coast of Fiordland.
