Five celebrities perform stand-up comedy in support of Stand Up to Cancer, with leading comics mentoring them along the way. David Baddiel coaches broadcaster and former Communard the Rev Richard Coles, Jason Manford is tasked with shepherding Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder, Nick Helm guides Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, Judi Love drills Love Island star and dancer Curtis Pritchard and Zoe Lyons champions former Coronation Street actor Katie McGlynn.

Episode 2
With just 24 hours to go until their comedy debut, the celebrities get some last-minute tips from their mentors. Judi Love coaches Curtis Pritchard in improvisation, Nick Helm teaches Sayeeda Warsi how to make a strong first impression, and Jason Manford is still struggling to get Shaun Ryder to remember his act. Meanwhile, Katie McGlynn tries to harness her nerves and Richard Coles remains reverent when mentor David Baddiel pushes on him a joke with two swear words in the same sentence.

Based on the week's news, Have I Got News for You is fronted by guest hosts and features two regular team captains, Paul Merton and Ian Hislop. Each week the show invites two guests to cast a jaundiced eye over the week's news, resulting in a fast flow of anarchic, spontaneous and hugely entertaining wit and humour. Guests typically represent the world of politics, comedy, show-business and journalism, and are often themselves particularly newsworthy participants. The final touches of Have I Got News for You are put together only hours before recording, allowing guests to comment on the late-breaking news stories of the day.
