Steins;Gate: Soumei Eichi no Cognitive Computing is a series of four anime shorts sponsored by IBM and released in both English subtitled and nonsubtitled versions between October 14th and November 12th, 2014. The Steins;Gate series' plot features the IBN 5100, which is inspired by IBM's 5100.

The official collaboration between Steins;Gate and IBM began when the Steins;Gate series creator and president of Mages., Chiyomaru Shikura talked with IBM's Japan branch. These shorts promote IBM's research in cognitive computing, showing how computers could improve life in the future and feature an Upa cognitive computing system.

The shorts were streamed on IBM Japan's website and official YouTube channel.
