Season 1
Professor Jonah Mulray's life is turned upside-down when his wife, Megan, is killed in a car-crash in Hong Kong. Although she lived and worked there half the year, Jonah's never been. He lives a small, sheltered life, and his fear of flying has kept him in London. But now he has no choice but to cross the ocean to identify the body of the woman he loved.
Not long after arriving in Hong Kong, Jonah makes a shocking discovery about his wife. Over the course of eight thrilling hours, Jonah is drawn deeper and deeper into a web of conspiracy as he comes to terms with this utterly alien and unfamiliar environment, battling to uncover the truth about his wife's death.

Episode 2
After Megan's final heartbreaking phone message, Jonah tries to convince David that she was killed. But his search for proof uncovers further secrets that force him to question whether he ever truly knew his wife at all.

Episode 3
When Jonah realises Megan was involved with Hong Kong's most dangerous players, he starts to wonder whether those closest to her may know more than they've let on.

Episode 4
Jonah finds himself left adrift when David goes off the radar. Fearing the worst, Jonah decides to track him down. Fueled by suspicion and paranoia, the search takes Jonah to the dazzling gambling island of Macau, where Jonah comes face to face with David's dark past.

Episode 5
Borne of necessity, Jonah goes undercover to find out once and for all whether David is connected to Megan's death – and along the way he must confront a triad and known killer.

Episode 6
Megan's last bequest leaves a trail of money that leads Jonah and David straight into the perilous jaws of Third Empire.

Episode 7
Blindsided by Lau's abduction, David and Jonah embark on a desperate and frantic search that thrusts upon them to the devastating truth about Megan.

Episode 8
The one question Jonah never thought he'd answer is finally resolved: did his marriage to Megan ever amount to anything more than a lie? And is the truth enough to lay his grief to rest?
