Shannon throws a birthday party for Hamilton East Animal Shelter's oldest cat; Nikki swoops in to save the day when Joy ruins her brand-new work computer.

Shannon makes a tough decision when a young girl falls in love with her cat. Nikki uses Kristian's eavesdropping against him and Paul's involvement in a crime hits close to come for Hugh and Liam.

Shannon enlists her new neighbour, a reporter, to do a story on the shelter as Paul reluctantly agrees to give Kristian a tattoo.

Shannon invites a much-too-critical Aunt Peggy to Nikki's trivia night. Kristian worries that Joy is too naïve to navigate the world of online dating.

Shannon's friendship with Lara seems unrequited. Paul learns a lesson when Nikki borrows his van and Kristian inadvertently helps Ravi get over a deep-seated fear.

Shannon goes on a date with Max's dad but discovers he may be too fatherly. Kristian's efforts backfire when he micromanages Nikki.

Shannon attempts to keep Nikki out of trouble with Uncle Russ and Aunt Peggy. Joy encourages Paul to pursue the arts.

Shannon tries to build a more inclusive culture at work. Lara interferes in a radio contest Joy is trying to win.

Max misunderstands Shannon's dating advice. Paul's loose lips land Kristian an unexpected date.

Shannon makes Hugh and Liam an offer that calls her relationship with Jeffrey into question. Nikki is closely connected to her new friend, and Joy helps Paul send a care package to his daughter.
