Summer Unboxed with Maisie and Joel - Season 1

In this episode Maisie and Joel arrive at a train station and unbox goodies for their weekend of wellness activities. Their task is simple: who can be the most chill? (or is it?) From core exercises on a paddle board, to a cold water plunge, some (Maisie) would say, the activities are actually quite stressful.  From their mystery box, their new health and wellbeing watch will be monitoring their heart rate through all their wellbeing challenges, and the person who averages the lowest heart rate will be crowned the winner. Over the course of their wellness retreat, who will manage to keep their heart rate the lowest? In this episode, Maisie and Joel carry on their holiday at the seaside to find out what the mystery box has planned for them. With cameras to set up their first challenge of the day, Maisie and Joel are tasked with taking the ultimate seaside photos before they head over to the arcade where Joel tries to defeat his arch nemesis; an arcade machine. Prepped and ready with their SPF from Boots and a thumb brace (after an intense session on the arcade machines) Maisie and Joel's competitive streak is coming out to play. With some out-of-the-box thinking, there's baiting seagulls, strategic gameplay and some traditional seaside snacks to make their day at the beach a grand day out.

In this episode Maisie and Joel head into the great outdoors for the next stop on their summer adventure. With the mystery box supplying their survival supplies and challenges, like the sleep tape from Boots to keep Joel quiet, it's time to get their walking boots on as they set out on the hike. But there's a catch, the winner will be the person whose average walking speed is the closest to 3mph, so they better get a move on.

In this episode, the mystery box has brought Maisie and Joel back to the seaside for a brand new showdown. This time, they've been challenged to flex their athletic muscles to see who is the sportiest in an intense beach pentathlon. First up, it's a game of beach cricket, and things get competitive. Maisie brings in the big guns with a pro cricket team, while Joel might need the massage gun from Boots after being put through his paces. Will he be able to wrangle a bunch of strangers into a winning team, or will Maisie's professional side take the crown? (Good luck Joel) It's then a solo race to the end as they face off in the beach day ball games, where the stakes have never been higher in a game of swing ball. In the final instalment of their summer adventure, Joel and Maisie are heading to their very own festival. First things first, they need a head-to-toe festival makeover from the Boots beauty crew. Think glitter, gemstones and colourful kaftans. But whose new look will win them the first challenge: Who can get the most compliments? And Joel, does it really count as a compliment if you have to ask for it? Then it's time to headline the festival. There's just one small catch: stand-up comedy is not allowed. On the last stop of their unforgettable summer adventure, who will be crowned the King or Queen of the ravers?
