The Ark takes place 100 years in the future when planetary colonization missions have begun as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race. Shōgun is set in Japan in the year 1600 at the dawn of a century-defining civil war. Lord Yoshii Toranaga is fighting for his life as his enemies on the Council of Regents unite against him, when a mysterious European ship is found marooned in a nearby fishing village.

The series will explore the origins of the Peacemaker, a man who believes in peace at any cost - no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.
