Murphy talks about finding an early passion for music while growing up in Cork, Ireland, before landing his first acting role. He also details his partnership with director Christopher Nolan and recalls the pop culture phenomenon of their film "Oppenheimer." President Donald Trump's special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, are headed to Egypt in hopes to nail down a peace deal between Israel and Hamas. While Israel has signaled that it would slow or even halt its Gaza offensive during the negotiations, health officials in Gaza reported that 70 people were killed on Saturday in fighting and Israeli airstrikes. As the government shutdown enters its fifth day, millions of Americans are feeling the pain, experiencing delays at airports and social security check delays. Republicans have proposed to slash health care funding and threatened firings as they look to pressure Democrats to drop their demands and vote to reopen the government. NBC's Julie Tsirkin reports for Sunday TODAY.  Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez was arrested on Saturday after being hospitalized in Indianapolis for stab wounds. Police say Sanchez was stabbed during what they call a "physical disturbance" and he faces charges of battery, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication.
