Pope Francis made a surprise public appearance Sunday, greeting crowds at the Vatican while seated in a wheelchair. The 88-year-old pontiff is still recovering from a five-week stay in a Rome hospital where he battled pneumonia. The Department of Health and Human Services is reporting that a second child in Texas who contracted the measles has died. HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an anti-vaccine activist, is expected to attend the child's funeral. A massive cleanup is underway across parts of the Midwest and South after a prolonged period of heavy rain left entire neighborhoods underwater with at least 16 dead from the severe weather. NBC's George Solis reports for Sunday TODAY. Black caddies, who wore the traditional white jumpsuit and were among those prohibited from playing at the famed Augusta National Golf Club, are now being honored with a special monument for their contributions.
