In the second match, the renowned Chef Danny Wilson challenges Food Network Star runner-up Jay Ducote in a head-to-head battle to prove, once and for all, who is the real deal when it comes to Southern cuisine. In the end, judges Catherine McCord and Justin Sutherland choose who will leave the arena with a $10,000 cash prize, a special knife from the losing chef and, most importantly, lifelong bragging rights.

In the second battle, Top Chef alum Lee Anne Wong challenges James Beard nominee Sheldon Simeon to redeem herself after he judged her off Alex vs. America for her Hawaiian dish. She wants to prove to Sheldon, as well as judges Chris Cosentino and Antonia Lofaso, that she belongs on the list of Hawaii's best chefs.
