Arthur is the gruff owner of a small donut shop in a quickly gentrifying Chicago neighborhood. His world turns upside down with the arrival of an enterprising new young employee named Franco.

What's the Big Idea?
Arthur tries to prove he's still relevant by coming up with a unique donut flavor after Franco's creative new flavors become bestsellers; Fawz tries to come up with an password for the store's WiFi.

Crime Time
Arthur considers increasing his security after Fawz's dry cleaning store is robbed; Tush talks to Maya about protecting herself.

Trust Me
When Arthur is reluctant to let Franco make the shop's bank deposit, Franco accuses his boss of not trusting him. Also, James regrets confiding in Randy after she shares an embarrassing secret about him with other cops at the station.

Takin' It to the Streets
When Franco and Sweatpants discover their new landlord, Fawz, wants to convert their apartment building into luxury condos, they decide to organize a protest. Also, Randy realizes she needs to be nicer to James in order to get a good recommendation for her sergeant's exam.

Arthur's Day Off
Randy and Fawz try to show Arthur the fun side of life when he reluctantly takes a day off work. Meanwhile, Franco feels determined to prove himself at the donut shop in Arthur's absence.

The Amazing Racists
Franco is subjected to an unwarranted stop-and-frisk, prompting Randy to discuss racial profiling with her fellow cops. Meanwhile, Arthur must confront his own prejudices after suspecting that Franco's friend stole a piece of his sports memorabilia.

Man Without a Health Plan
The group decide to take up a collection to pay for Franco's medical expenses when he's hurt at work and doesn't have insurance. Later, Tush experiences unusual side effects when he participates in an experimental drug trial.

Get It, Arthur
When Randy's mom comes to town, Franco encourages Arthur to go out on his first date in years.

Painted Love
Arthur encourages Franco to pursue his art but is caught off guard when Franco paints a mural on the side of the donut shop, sparking controversy in the neighborhood. Meanwhile, Fawz decides to run for president of the Uptown Business Council.

Wage Against the Machine
Franco takes a second job as Fawz's assistant to make extra money. Elsewhere, Randy and James compete against each other to see who can win a coveted cash prize at work.

Art for Art's Sake
Franco is shocked when his estranged father, Reggie, suddenly shows up at the donut shop for his son's first art show.

Secrets and Spies
The gang discover that Maya has been studying them all year for her dissertation when they find her open laptop unattended. Meanwhile, Franco and Randy are determined to find out where Arthur really spends each Sunday.
