While tracking down a man wanted for robbery and murder, Hardie worries that the man's ties to a sheriff might make it difficult to serve justice.

When a young woman becomes infatuated with Hardie, a seemingly simple Wells Fargo job gets complicated. A jewel shipment must be delivered, and the owner's daughter wants to do it personally.

When a stagecoach arrives in Denver with $50,000 worth of gold missing, Hardie investigates the town. When $50,000 goes missing from a stagecoach, and with few leads to go on, Jim suspects a safe-cracking marshal of the theft.

When Hardie stops in a small town while transporting a prisoner to stand trial in Santa Fe, N.M., he discovers that there's a price on the prisoner's head and that the mayor and sheriff may not let him leave the town alive.

The search for a missing stage leads Hardie (Dale Robertson) to a lawless border town and a gunfight with the town's "leading citizen."

Walt Corbin faces a murder trial, but Corbin is all smiles —he claims that witnesses Frazier and Matson are going to suffer a lapse of memory. 

Hardie's quick action prevents an innocent man who has suffered a serious injury from being convicted of murder.

Hardie becomes suspicious when he is notified that a friend of his has "accidentally" drowned. 

Spencer, Blazing Rock's Fargo agent, is found dead, with a gun in his hand. Marshal Williams says it is suicide, but Hardie believes otherwise. 

Agent Hardie rides to Calico where a competitor of Wells Fargo is forcing passengers to transfer to his stage line at gunpoint.

A fellow Wells Fargo agent offers Hardie a large reward for the capture of an outlaw—dead or alive.

Hardie suspects a casino owner is selling illegal guns to insurgent Indians.

An outlaw released early from prison has a hit-list of those responsible for his capture, including Hardie.

Bertram La Tour has requested Wells Fargo send Jim Hardie personally to escort his dowry of $200,000 and his granddaughter Michelle Bovarde to Baton Rouge where she is to be married. However, Jim is unaware why this is being done.
