However, Peter Tay has other ideas as he tries to convince the board that a golden handshake is vital to save the company. Arjun is feeling a little down after losing a patient in the operating room. Concerned for his son, Bhaskar, tries to talk things out with him but nothing prepares him for the decision Arjun has made about his career. Xue Ling and Adam have a big argument when Adam feels that those therapist sessions are not helping Melissa. To make things worse, he brings Melissa for Chinese New Year shopping instead of going for a session, hence incurring the wrath of Xue Ling.
