As Adil goes mad with worry and panic, Esme is savoring that unique feeling of freedom from being rid of Şerif after twenty years, while also gathering strength and making plans for her great battle. When Adil learns that Esme left because she “didn’t know a single Muslim who would sit at her table during Ramadan,” he is devastated and goes to the highlands, setting up camp at the door of the woman he loves. Meanwhile, Zarife steadfastly continues her efforts to marry the two off, but she encounters a big surprise. With Şerif’s imprisonment, İso and Fadime decide to divorce. However, with this decision, they begin to realize how difficult it is to break away from each other. Eyüphan devises a dangerous plan and sabotages the brakes of İso’s pickup truck. But it is not İso who gets into that pickup—it is Eleni and Fadime, who want to have their first iftar with Esme. They crash in the pickup with failed brakes. Who will survive this terrible accident now depends only on a miracle.
