Vera Schneider, nationally known foundation chairwoman, formerly celebrated pianist, is honored for her commitment to the rehabilitation of young prisoners. A few hours later, the charity lady is dead - fell from the balcony. A robbery and murder, as evidenced by the traces left by a burglar in Schneider's apartment. Inspector Max Palu, colleague Stefan Deininger and the tried and tested part-time employee in the secretariat, Ms. Braun, are dealing with five suspects: Heinz Schneider, the industrialist, head of Schneider machine tools, who coldly wants to dump his wife because she is redesigning him gets in the way of his private life.
