Episode 1
The series begins by plunging viewers into the early days of the investigation, starting with the mysterious disappearance of Shannan Gilbert in May 2010. Gilbert, a young escort, vanished after making a frantic 911 call from a remote area near Gilgo Beach. What began as a search for a missing woman quickly spiraled into something far more sinister when police uncovered the remains of four other women, all wrapped in burlap and discarded along the desolate stretch of Ocean Parkway.

Episode 2
As the investigation unfolded, it became clear that these women, all of whom were sex workers, had fallen victim to a calculating and cold-blooded killer who stalked the shadows of Long Island. The Suffolk County Police, overwhelmed by the scope of the case, struggled to connect the dots between the victims and identify the predator responsible. For years, the investigation was mired in dead ends and controversy, with the public growing increasingly frustrated at the lack of progress and transparency from law enforcement.

Episode 3
The three-part deep dive into a chilling decade of murders that haunted a community concludes, as investigators bring the Long Island serial killer, Rex Heuermann, to justice.
