The Adventure Show - Season 9

Season 9

Episodes

Episode 1
In the first of a brand new series, the Adventure Show heads to the Borders for the Bowhill Duathlon. This is a back-to-basics event, with the mountain biking and trail running firmly off-road. And this year Michael Stewart has volunteered to join over 200 other competitors as they face a mixture of mud, sleet and snow.

Episode 2
The Adventure Show returns to the spiritual home of Scottish mountain biking, Fort William, for the 2015 World Cup and, with high winds and driving rain, there's no shortage of action. First there's the fast and furious 4X.

Episode 3
This month the Adventure Show's in the Highlands for the World Orienteering Championships. It is only the third time the event has been held in Scotland and 400 athletes from 51 different nations have come to battle it out for the medals.

Episode 4
This month's Adventure Show is in Torridon for the Celtman Extreme Scottish Triathlon. And extreme's the word - it starts with a 3,000 metre open-water swim that's followed by 202 kilometres of biking. The finale is a 42-kilometre run, with an ascent of one of Scotland's Munros thrown in for good measure. Just four years old, it has rapidly established itself as one of Europe's elite events. For most people, just finishing is a major achievement.

Episode 5
This month Adventure Show's at the UK's highest sportive, the 3 Pistes - over 100 miles of road biking that includes upwards of 2,000 metres of climbing.
