Daniel Garcia is working in the family bakery and doing everything that his loving Cuban parents and siblings expect him to do. But on a wild Miami night, he meets Noa Hamilton and his life moves into the spotlight. Will this unlikely couple upend their lives to be together and pull their families into a culture clash?

Noa and Daniel's relationship begins to flourish, and after an unwanted birthday party for Noa, Daniel discovers more about her past while a heartbroken Vanessa is not giving up so easily. Meanwhile, with Rafael's Cuban Bakery booming, a food critic extraordinaire puts in an outrageous food order the Garcias cannot refuse to take.

Noa invites Daniel on a charity trip to Puerto Rico where things don't go as planned, while Vanessa stays close to the Garcias and helps Mateo land his next gig as a DJ. At home, Mari invites Natalie's crush to their house where Natalie is put in a position to act on her feelings.

While meeting the Garcias for the first time, Noa accidentally reveals a big secret, causing chaos amongst the family; meanwhile, Vanessa shows up unannounced and finds herself face-to-face with her rival for the first time.

When Noa and Daniel's relationship goes public, the extra attention proves to be more intense than they had anticipated and tensions begin to build. To make matters worse, Lewis makes Vanessa an intriguing proposition which leads to a conflict between Daniel and Noa. Meanwhile, as Rafael strives to be more supportive of Mateo's dreams, Mari feels helpless and worries that she won't be able to protect Natalie from the opinions of the outside world.

Noa and Daniel's worlds are turned upside down when Vanessa ignites a scandal. Noa works overtime to salvage the reputation of her company and ease tensions with her board of directors. Daniel tries to smooth things over with his family.

Noa is blindsided when an unlikely opponent attempts to take control of her company; after a series of setbacks, Daniel is surprised when an old friend comes to his rescue; Natalie continues to defy her parents.

Daniel and Noa reconnect after a falling out, but Daniel's desire to have a normal life keeps coming between them.

Noa makes a seemingly erratic decision about her career.
