In England, the rivalry between Edward and Alan reaches new heights. In Israel, Susan's relationship with Gil is under strain. And in Ethiopia, Martha finds that her life is in danger from rebels.
Episode 3
In Ethiopia, the arrival of a US film star leads Martha and David into dangerous territory. Susan returns to England, bringing complications for Edward. Yousef reaches the climax of his pilgrimage.
Episode 4
In Israel, Gil's military service comes to a horrifying end, which coincides with the end of the pilgrimage for Yousef. Edward goes to Ethiopia to secure the release of Martha and David.
Episode 5
Edward and Martha face up to the failure of their marriage and his loss of faith, while Lizzie's loyalty to Edward is tested. In Ethiopia, Yared returns to his former calling.
