An Unwanted Death
Irene Radford is back in town Sun Hill officers are called to an incident at her house when a dead dog is found floating in her swimming pool which could possibly be something to do with another gangster family, the Gaunts. Inspector Gina Gold finds Irene a shell of a woman and Irene claims that she has returned to Sun Hill because she is terminally ill with cancer and wants to die there. Meanwhile acting DC Gary Best follows a lead about a robbery that could incriminate Irene but at the same time Irene's son David Radford is being transferred to a psychiatric wing following a break down. Meanwhile Phil has sex with a prison liaison officer when they are supposed to be transcripting a conversation between Irene and David Radford in prison but the tape stops so they make the last part of the conversation up but the rumours of a break out fail to filter through because DS Phil Hunter has ignored the calls from the Prison Liaison Officer, thinking that she is after a relationship.
