John meets a woman grieving the sudden loss of her twin sister and counsels a rebellious teen he's worked with before who has reverted to her disrespectful ways. Aventer choreographs a dance piece for an upcoming Hurricane Harvey relief benefit.

When John's out-of-control diabetes lands him in the ER, Aventer offers tough love. Later, John counsels two moms: one who is grief-stricken over the loss of her daughter, and another who is smothering her son with her overbearing ways.

John helps a young man and his roommates as they try to navigate the world of sex and dating as faithful Christians. John meets a single mother struggling to raise her special-needs son. AJ Johnson helps John and Aventer with their diet.

John and Aventer work with a couple on the brink of divorce, John helps a veteran with PTSD find the path toward emotional and spiritual healing, and LeToya Luckett and her fiance come to Houston for some pre-marital counseling with John and Aventer.

John counsels a woman overcome by fear after a video of her controversial arrest went viral. He also pastors another woman who believes her troubled past as an exotic dancer and madam is destroying her chance at a better future.

John meets a young woman diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer who is struggling to maintain her faith and walk through her chemotherapy alone. When Aventer and John host their annual Teen Weekend, there is a surprising twist.

Answering the Call
John counsels a struggling married couple who've lost their spark. A worried mom asks for help when her son develops troubling anger issues. And a life-changing offer to take over another church leads to a difficult decision for John and Aventer.
