The Boss is Back - Season 1

Years before Dragons' Den, Theo Paphitis was chairman of Millwall Football Club, dragging them out of administration, into an FA Cup final, and on to television screens in the behind-the-scenes documentary series Back the Floor. Now the former boss is back at Millwall, reliving his time in front of the cameras and seeing how the experience changed both him and the club.

Jacqueline Gold, chief executive of Ann Summers, joins staff on the shop floor for the second time in her career, as her adult retail empire launches its latest store. In 2001, cameras followed her for behind-the-scenes documentary series Back to the Floor. Now she is reliving the experience and seeing how it helped her become the success she is today.

Ex-jewellery giant Gerald Ratner relives his experiences following the speech that famously cost him his job and reputation. In 2002, the Trouble at the Top series followed him as he set up a health club and fell out with his business partner. Now, Ratner lets the cameras back in as he attempts another comeback and tries to rekindle a broken friendship.

In 2011 West Ham owner David Sullivan took back control of the Sunday Sport newspaper group that he'd sold five years ago for £40 million. Now Sullivan is getting hands-on with a new editorial team, and looking back on how his appearance on the "Back to the Floor" series in the 1990s gave him an understanding of reporting that still informs his decisions today.

In 2001, impresario Gerry Cottle let the Trouble at the Top documentary series follow his attempts to launch the Chinese State Circus in Britain. Now, as he swaps the big top for the caves of Wookey Hole, Cottle looks back on his time in front of the cameras, to see if the lessons he learned back then can help make a success of his latest venture.
