The second season follows Amanda, Mae, Nancy and Gus as they use their Chicken Sisters restaurants to officially put a generations-long feud to rest, Frank Jr. sparks another one by opening a Mr. Chicken's Cluckery on Merinac's Main Street and someone from Gus' past comes back to town. In this new chapter, all leading up to Mae and Jay's Merinac wedding, viewers will follow the Moore-Hillier women as they rise above the roost, proving that family is the only prize worth fighting for.

When Gus needs help, Nancy begins to wonder if Clayton is ready to support her. Doubts also start to crowd Mae's mind about Clayton's presence in town.

A storm comes to town, and lead by Nancy's brave example, all of Merinac bands together to help their friends, family, and neighbors.
