The Climber - Season 1

Season 1
Episodes

Episode 1
When he adds up his score in an intelligence test and finds he has an incredibly high IQ of 166, Harry Lumsdon - and those who know him - are truly amazed.
Now he can set forth to better himself in the bakery where he has worked for 16 years, and look forward to a bright new future. After all, he is a genius - or is he?

Episode 2
Following his dazzling success passing his driving test first time with nothing more than a few lessons on a milk float and the positive application of his new-found intelligence, Harry now has the rather awkward task of returning his borrowed car with an embarrassingly large dent in its side.

Episode 3
As a first step on his way to the top, Harry applies his genius to bakery van sales. Who better to show him the potential, pitfalls and perks of the round than would-be country and western star, Don 'Doughboy' Hudson?

Episode 4
Having been 'promoted' to office duties to keep him out of trouble, Harry finds that his genius is not being fully exploited and his only real challenge is facing the endless tedium. Until, that is, he mistakes the company chairman for a cleaner and joins him in a rather over-large brandy.

Episode 5
Harry is introduced to the tough world of salesmanship by pill-taking Mr Johnson. Will he now, at last, be able to put his genius to good use? What will he do for the bakery's sales? What will he do for Mr. Johnson's ulcer?

Episode 6
All that stands between Harry and a holiday for two in Barbados as Salesman of the Year is just one order from McTaggart Supermarkets, but his sales techniques are no match for Charles McTaggart's sales resistance. All seems lost until a young Scots mother (with a striking resemblance to McTaggart) calls upon Harry's superior intelligence in a rather unexpected delivery.
