Badge For A Day (The Deputy)
Marshal Simon Fry is on the trail of the Ace Gentry gang and has successfully apprehended two members who were secretly transporting supplies to the outlaws. He takes them to Silver City, where he cleverly tricks them into disclosing the location of the gang's hideout. Additionally, he persuades Clay McCord, the local store owner and skilled gunman, to join him in an undercover mission to arrest the remaining members of the gang.

The Wild Wind
Local teenagers in Silver City become involved with a newcomer named Bull Ward. Ward murders a local sheep rancher and steals the sheep. Clay befriends one of the teenagers and entrusts him with a gold shipment. Both Clay and the boy's older sister are worried that he is heading down the wrong path.

Shadow Of The Noose
In Oresburg, Fry apprehends a transient suspected of murdering a pair of individuals outside the town's limits. A contingent of agitated residents of the town expresses intentions of extrajudicial action. Fry is obligated to prevent the mob from carrying out a lynching while conveying the suspect to Prescott, with a stop in Silver City, for legal proceedings. The purpose of the Silver City stop is for Fry to persuade Clay to provide assistance in maintaining order during the journey.

Marshal Fry arranges for Sheriff Lamson to take a vacation due to concerns that the individual responsible for the deaths of three marshals in the area is en route to Silver City. Simon volunteers to act as bait, but he does not disclose this plan. Consequently, Herk and Clay are under the impression that Herk is being dismissed. Ultimately, Simon, Clay, and Fran encounter the assassin.
