Flowers in the Attic
Based on V.C. Andrews' controversial book that quickly became a cult classic, Flowers in the Attic is the gothic tale of four siblings who are locked away to live in an attic after a family tragedy suddenly removes them from their perfect childhood. It weaves the twisted story of the Dollanganger kids who, after the unexpected death of their father, are convinced by their mother Corrine to stay hidden in the attic of their wealthy grandparents' mansion so she can reclaim the family fortune. But as her visits begin to wane after she becomes involved with a new husband, the children endure unimaginable treatment at the hands of their ruthless grandmother Olivia Foxworth. As years go by and the eldest children Cathy and Christopher come of age, both emotionally and physically, their family's sordid past entraps them further as they look to each other for comfort.

Petals on the Wind
A decade after Cathy, Christopher and Carrie escaped from their grandparents' attic at Foxworth Hall, "Petals on the Wind" continues to follow the twisted plight of the family as they attempt to put their sordid past behind them, but soon discover certain secrets can't be left behind. When Cathy finds herself in an abusive relationship with a fellow dancer, Julian, Christopher and Cathy are forced to face the forbidden feelings they developed for one another while coming of age during captivity. But when tragedy strikes the Dollangangers once again, Cathy returns to Foxworth Hall to confront her grandmother and seek revenge on her mother with a plan to seduce her husband Bart. When Christopher runs to Cathy's side, the two are determined to start over again - together.

If There Be Thorns
The third installment in V.C. Andrews' bestselling series follows Christopher and Cathy Dollanganger as they live together as man and wife with Cathy's two sons who are unaware of the incestuous nature of their parents' relationship. But when a mysterious woman moves in next door and befriends the younger boy, Bart, he begins a strange transformation and displays accusatory behavior towards Cathy and Christopher. When Christopher discovers their mysterious neighbor is, in fact, his mother Corinne Dollanganger, all of the family's long-hidden secrets are revealed in a tragic climax.

Seeds of Yesterday
The saga of the tormented Dollangangers comes to an end in "Seeds of Yesterday", in which the family continues to coexist miserably. The film follows Cathy's two adult sons, Bart and Jory, half-brothers with little in common whose lives are fueled by deeply troubled relationships, dark secrets and misfortune that come to a head in a way that will haunt the family and its progeny forever.
