When Melanie learns that she is on academic probation and that the grant money she needed to cover her tuition has been revoked, Derwin assures Melanie that he will help her with her finances. However, when Derwin's agent, Irv, informs him that his contract negotiations aren't going as well as they expected, Melanie feels like she has no other choice but to swallow her pride and ask her parents for the money. Meanwhile, Tasha and Malik are totally freaked out when it is accidentally revealed that Tasha's boyfriend, Rick, and Malik's wife, Robin, have a past together.
