The Getaway - Season 1

In the series premiere, actor and television host Joel McHale travels to Belfast, Ireland to soak in the island's culture and drink their famous whiskey. After hearing plenty of stories about the country from his wife, who lived there years ago, Joel is surprised to find a plethora of mouthwatering restaurants that have sprung up around the City Centre. To whet his appetite, he'll hang out in some of the sleekest pubs and get his drink on. Plus, he learns a lot about the turmoil that took place in Belfast called The Troubles, and he partakes in some of the most fun activities Belfast has to offer including betting on a dog race and playing a round of golf on one of their famous courses.

Comedian and actor Aziz Ansari eats, drinks and gambles his way through the fast paced city of Hong Kong. Deemed the NYC of Asia, this melting pot and culinary paradise is one of the most densely populated cities on earth. When Aziz isn't chowing down, he designs his own bespoke suit, practices his ping pong skills, and even tests his luck gambling at the Hong Kong Derby. His getaway culminates at the Mong Kok district market where successful haggling scores him a set of Lebron James playing cards. Well played, Aziz.

Actress and comedian Aisha Tyler works hard in Hollywood--but also loves to play hard. A self-proclaimed Francophile, Aisha claims Paris as her absolute must for casual dining and romantic adventures. When she's able to steal time away from her day job, Aisha enjoys jetting off to The City of Light to sit back with a glass of wine, people watch and catch up with friends. Fall in love with the historic city as she strolls the streets in the same garbs she wears when she steps off the plane--since the airport loses her luggage!

The culinary master chooses San Juan as his getaway because he claims it's the perfect mix of Spain, where he's from, and America, where he currently lives. And although Puerto Rico may feel like the old world, it's also one of the most popular tropical vacation destinations! From its party-loving citizens to its history in rum-making, Puerto Rico offers Chef Jose Andres a fantastic showcase of culture on an adventure-ridden island.

When "True Blood" star Ryan Kwanten isn't on set filming, he's venturing into the great outdoors that Southern California has to offer! Although Los Angeles is separated into 114 different neighborhoods, Ryan's favorite area to relax is on the west side--including Venice, Santa Monica, Malibu and other beach-side towns. For this weekend getaway, he chooses to spend it training with lifeguards in Hermosa Beach as they practice the competitive sport of surf life saving, drinking and chowing down with his buddies along the coast and hiking through the mountains with an athletic friend on a gorgeous day!

Actress and writer Rashida Jones leaves her bubble in Los Angeles for three days in her favorite city! She hops a red-eye across the pond to London, where she samples the food, drink and wares of the capital's many neighborhoods. Join her as she boozes with actor buddy Chris O'Dowd at The Bar With No Name, shops for the perfect perfume with writing partner Will McCormack and single-handedly kills the city's bad food reputation with Rhodes scholar Ronan Farrow. She also breaks bread with Adam Scott at J. Sheekey for world-class seafood, tours Brick Lane to partake of the country's best Indian grub and sips wine with the girls at The Shed, a true farm-to-table experience in the heart of the city. Along the way, she buys ancient sheet music, strolls through Notting Hill and even stumbles upon a jar of Amy Winehouse's poop!

Red Sox fans, this episode's for you! Director Paul Feig takes on Boston, eating and drinking his way through the city sporting a bespoke three-piece suit. His upscale fashion may tip off locals that he's not a native, but his appreciation for the oysters, clam chowder and coffee makes him welcome in any of Boston's many neighborhoods. During his getaway he'll experience a strange acupuncture therapy session, a wild ride on the Codzilla, an emotional bonding moment with singer Joey McIntyre and far too many more adventures. Grammy Award-winning artist Eve eats, drinks and performs her way through Kingston, Jamaica. For the chart-topping singer-songwriter, Kingston is the place to find inspiration and enjoy the little pleasures in life. To some, Kingston is thought of as the New York of the Caribbean, but unlike New York, Jamaica's natives prefer to live the "island life"--which makes it hard for Eve, because once she's there, she never wants to leave!

In the season finale, comedian brothers Seth and Josh Meyers spend a weekend in The Netherlands where they used to live and perform. Their command of the Dutch language helps them navigate the city's best local bars, cafes and hangouts--but surprisingly, when their Dutch fails them, English does fine by them, too. From biking along the canals to chowing down on beef heart and trying on wooden sunglasses, the boys do their best at discovering some of the most unique activities Amsterdam has to offer--without ever smoking a joint or picking up a prostitute!
