The Obligation
Twenty years ago, Odin Freeburn promised his dying mother he would take care of his siblings. But now they're pulling him in all directions, and the mechanics workshop that keeps them housed and fed is up for sale. With the prospect of no job or home, his family wants to know what he plans to do-especially his mother, who has come back in spirit form to guide him.

The Fighting Freeburns
Odin thought his only battle was organizing the paperwork for the bank, but he's not the only one interested in Colpepper & Sons. Rival mechanic Harry Hamilton plans to put in an offer, and the McIntyre brothers are also being nosey about the fate of the workshop. Another spanner is thrown into the works when Jonesy Brown-long-absent father to Ares, Isolde, and Tristan-returns to Casino.

The Games People Play
Odin still hasn't found a guarantor for the loan, and Jonesy Brown has had Odin locked up for assault-with the court date set for the same day as the auction. Meanwhile, Ares attempts to blackmail the bank manager to push the loan through; Athena unwittingly meets the lurking spirit of her grandmother; and Tristan's girlfriend, Anastasia, tells him she can't see him anymore.

Nobody Lives Forever
Libby, sick of not being appreciated, decides to let the Freeburns fend for themselves-until Athena turns up on her doorstep looking for her school uniform. When Libby confronts Odin about taking her for granted, he takes her by surprise in a moment of romantic inspiration. Meanwhile, Jonesy breaks into the Freeburn home in search of his stolen money, and Tristan tries to win back Anastasia.

The Mighty Are Fallen
With Odin fighting for his life in the hospital, Libby tries to keep it together for the girls. The pressure is on from the bank, though, with Odin late in making the first repayment, and the Freeburn home and workshop in danger of repossession. As Eden leads Odin through visions of the past and his role in the accident that took her own life, he struggles against his memories.

She Who Supplanted Her Sister
Everyone is relieved to have Odin home, but the business is in deep trouble. When Jamie, Odin's wife, arrives out of nowhere looking a million dollars, all Libby's insecurities return, and the girls have mixed reactions. Ares confides a secret to Isolde that explains part of the family feud with the McIntyres, and Odin moves forward with Libby, only for Eden to make a disturbing prediction.
