Season 3

The third series of The Grand Fishing Adventure goes up a gear and fully embraces what goes on sub-surface with Europe’s most popular fish, the carp, by going Underwater! Fishing maniac Ali Hamidi is joined by a team of underwater filming experts, led by diver Luc Boerrigter, to expose the myths and truths of what really goes on under the surface when carp fishing. Ali will be fishing alongside his long-standing angling partner and ex-pro footballer, Bobby Zamora and big carp angler - Roo Abbott. Ali and the lads get to fully immerse themselves in the underwater unknowns to find out exactly what lies beneath. Watch them scrutinise their different carp rigs and baits by viewing a mix of underwater “Livecams”, where they can watch the action play out as it happens live from the mission control tent, but also “Spycams”, which are placed then retrieved after the events, so a type of “Carp VAR”.

The carp show themselves on the live screens early on, but they then become camera-shy and move out into deeper water where the clarity is poor. Former striker Bobby then infuriates Ali by going rogue with a rod and wanting a catch at any cost... which earns him a yellow card.

Will they bank their targets before the time runs out?
