Then, in the second round, the home cooks have 60 minutes to prepare a family-style dish served at their favorite holiday meal.

In week six of competition on The Great American Recipe, the home cooks step outside their comfort zone in two rounds of cooking. In the first round, the home cooks have 60 minutes to put their spin on a fellow home cook's recipe. In round two, the home cooks have 60 minutes to create a dish inspired by a friend.

The home cooks have two rounds of cooking left to earn their spot in the finale for a chance to be named winner of The Great American Recipe. In round one, the home cooks have 60 minutes to create a life-changing dish. Then in round two, the home cooks return to their roots, serving up dishes that have been treasured by their families for generations.

The final three of America's best home cooks compete for a chance to win The Great American Recipe. In the first round, our finalists receive a care package from a loved one at home and in that package are some ingredients to provide inspiration for an unforgettable dish. In the final round of the competition, the cooks create their most treasured dish that represents their Great American Recipe.
