Morven must make difficult decisions with Sarah, who is suffering through over 30 hours of exhausting labour. Shelley is terrified of her third C-section, and with her husband in the military, it's up to Hazel to keep her calm.
Episode 2
Community midwife Hayley helps with the delivery of local mum Rachel's baby. In Aberdeen, midwife Lydia is assisted by dad Gordon. Also, first time mum Morven is determined to have a local birth.
Episode 3
In Inverness, midwife Hazel knows mum-to-be Sheena well, as she is now having her seventh baby. Mum-to-be Yasmin is preparing for a local water birth, but is becoming increasingly apprehensive. Kate is expecting her fourth baby and is keen for a home birth.
Episode 4
Michelle is determined to have a local birth, but midwife Pam knows that the size of her fourth baby may make this impossible. Siobhan's MS has been in remission during the pregnancy, but midwife Gail knows it is likely to come back after labour. Midwife Alison must act quickly when Mihaela develops dangerously high blood pressure, putting both mum and baby in danger.
