The seasoned journalist disappeared days after winning big on a popular game show, leaving behind a trail of unanswered questions. Partnering once again with Detective John Cameron, Jane delves into a world of highstakes competition, blackmail, and fraud. As they uncover layers of deception involving fellow journalists and charity scams, Jane must navigate dangerous territory to expose the truth. With the gala approaching and the investigation heating up, Jane and John find themselves confronting not only the culprits but also their growing bond.
