In the final episode of the series, the RAC interview candidates for a roadside patrol officer role, based in south-west England. Candidates will need to pass the 'mum test' - who has the right roadside manner to reassure the boss's mother if she breaks down at night? The job pays around £37,000 per year. One candidate, Peter, is an enthusiastic Cornwall-based mechanic who has worked for the RAC before and misses the buzz of helping drivers in distress. He knows the job inside out, but he faces stiff competition from ambitious 31-year-old firefighter Lee, who wants to increase his earnings so that he can provide more for his young family. Meanwhile, Kettering-based mortgage broker TMP are looking for a 'chirpy' and personable candidate to become a case manager and guide their clients through the mortgage process.
